One of my favorite movies is called A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. It is a story about true love, commitment, happiness, and sadness. In the story there is a high school girl who is not in the “most popular” group. Some people would say that she was a nerd because she was top in her class. She didn’t have the finest things, but she had everything that she needed and was content. She lived with her father who was a minister. Her mother died while giving birth to her.
At school she signed up to be a tutor. Then one day a guy came up to her and said that he needed some tutoring. She told him that she would tutor him under one condition, that he would not fall in love with her. At the time, he thought that he had no worries about falling in love with her, because they came from two different worlds and were not compatible. This guy had a bad boy image and was in the “popular group”. He also hung out with the “rough crowd”. But little did he know.
They soon became good friends, even though her father wasn’t happy about it. He was also doing well in school. Then it hit him like a ton of bricks, he was in love with her. She kept telling him that he did not love her, but he was not going to give in. In the meantime, she also fell in love with him. Then one day his world came crashing down when they admitted her into the hospital. He learned that she had leukemia. She had been battling this for years, but she did not let him know about it.
At the hospital, they told her that she did not have long to live. They both realized that they both loved each other. When she got well enough, they decided to get married. Two months after they had wed, she died. He went on to go to college to become a doctor. He and her father became good friends over the course of time.
It’s just funny how we judge people, and them turn out to be something totally different. And it can happen I mean, good girl and bad boy can come together to be as one. I highly recommend everyone seeing this movie.

Charlottes Web is a story about friendship, adventure, life and death, trust and the passing of Time. It is funny, serious and sad. It can make you laugh and cry. I think this is a good book for middle aged children to read. It is also a good book to read to young children. Many adults would enjoy “Charlotte’s Web”. I did.
The story begins with a young girl, Fern, saving a
runt pig from being killed. She names him Wilbur. When Wilbur is five weeks old, Fern’s dad said Wilbur had to be sold. Fern sells the pig to her Uncle Homer Zuckerman, who lives just down the road from Fern’s family. Fern can go see Wilbur every day. Wilbur gets to know the other animals, but he has a special friendship with a spider named Charlotte that lives in the Zuckerman’s barn.
Charlotte spins words into her web about Wilbur that saves him from being slaughtered.
The story tells of Charlotte and Wilbur’s friendship, also their relationship to all the animals in Zuckerman’s barn. The story will tell you how and why Charlotte dies alone, also, how three of her daughters stay in the old barn as friends to Wilbur and what happened to the rest of her children.
It is not often someone comes alone that is a true friend. Charlotte definitely was a special true friend to Wilbur.

Dreamer
I thought Dreamer, was a very emotional movie about how life in Kentucky can be a challenge. Dakota Fanning did a great job in playing the little girl, who shows how love, faith, and determination in life goes a long way. I was more connected to this movie because it was a true story about a horse , in Kentucky, and the everyday struggles they had trying to make a living on a Kentucky horse farm. I highly recommend this move for a family or anyone who needs a pick me up. I was very emotional during the movie but I am so glad to know that there is a happy ever after, in the real world.

Here are some highlights from books you have read and movies you watched.
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe By C.S Lewis
Intrduction to the book by Tressa
One day it was raining, the children being very bored decided to play hide-an-seek in the house. Lucy the youngest of the four hid in the wardrobe, suddenly there was no back in this thing. Stumbling into a whole other world with odd creatures. Lucy first saw a light pole which was very odd in the middle of nowhere. This place was very cold, snow was on the ground and it was still snowing a little all around her. Lucy hears a noise she is startled by a very strange little creature. The top half was a boy but the bottom half was like a goat. His name was Mr. Tummus. He told Lucy he was a Faun. Lucy and Mr. Tummus became fast friends.
